Should we just be handing over the car keys when kids turn 16? Why or why not?
I'm going to be turnin' 16 in a few weeks, so my answer'll probably be biased in one form or another.

I think that if a child has a cellphone on him/herself at all times while they are in the car, and they are proven trustworthy, then they should be allowed to drive after proper education on the matter.

Of course, I'm scared to death of cars, so I probably won't really use my license beyond proving my age, etc (if I never need a car for a place that I can't reach by train or bus, I'll rent one). I'm all for public transport.

Are you worried about catching the swine flu? Do you have a plan for avoiding contagion or dealing with quarantine?
Eh...not really. I mean, I do admit that I panicked for a bit, but that was because of my panicky brother and mum. They were literally going around going "OMGWTFTHEAPOCALYPSE". >>

So yea, I thought it was on the level of Ebola and so I freaked out, but now not at all  (even though schools are closing in my area, which sucks that mine isn't). I just wash my hands, don't touch my face very often and stay away from obviously sick folks. I guess I've pretty much accepted through months of playing PANDEMIC on newgrounds that if a bug was really serious about wiping us out it would. Plus, I'll be in my home all summer pretty much, so yea...I'll probably just let this fly over me. I have other things to worry about, like exams *groan*.

....DAN BROWN'S NEW BOOK IS COMING OUT!

*squee until the cows come home*

itfeaturesrobertlangdonthebestscholarihaveeverseeninabook...

and yes i JUST had sugar. That and I'm a little pissed because my air conditioning is broken AGAIN. *growl*

But! Everything is made better with this cover less picture on Amazon for the lovely book of my dreams. I will soon own it, and cherish forever (I may just call it George).

Excuse me for the rampant fan-girling lack of punctuation and proper spelling/spacing. I'm just too excited over this book even though it's months away from release (it's gonna be released in September T_T).

Ah well, gives me an excuse to check out both Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons from my library and re-read them like a savage book maniac.

...

*content sigh*

What was your favorite movie when you were a kid? Is it still your favorite now that you're older?
I actually had two favorite movies - Beetlejuice and the original TMNT. They're still my favorite movies because they are just classic. I always wanted to be a mutant turtle or a creepy ghost-prankster when I was a kid. Still do, actually. Though, Watchmen's kind of competing with them right now...damnit.

...but since I'm not a big boy I'll have to cry" ("Almost Human" by Voltaire).

God, that is the perfect quote to describe me right now. Sorry that I haven't been able to update- I've been busy trying to keep up my 4.0 GPA (which is odd, considering that I'm a freshman, eh.) Yea, very very busy Gabby. It sucks.

But! On a brighter note, I have submitted a request to join my first atheist board. It was a bit nerve-wracking, seeing as how I was still keeping onto the ticket of Christianity. Before I submitted my thing, I was on the Christianity guilty train, but now that I've done it...I feel liberated. So. Freaking. Liberated. It rocks.

I'm not longer paying empty homage to something that I don't believe in my heart of hearts. Of course, my family doesn't know this so I still have to be in the closet about my atheism. In the closet about that as well as my homosexuality (lesbianity? eh?). Ah well, ONLY THREE YEARS TIL COLLEGE! :D

*insert 80s boogie*

Oh yea! I have an awesome video from logical and gorgeous ZOMGitsCriss. I-I have no words to describe how much I love this video.

Even if you're not actively eavesdropping, you can hear some interesting things. What's the best conversation you've ever overheard?
The best conversation that I've heard goes along these lines:

Girl 1: "Oh yea, so he was taking her spaghetti"
Girl 2: "Ooooo...did he take his pants off?"
Girl 1: "Totally, he just took of his pants and took her spaghetti!"

I know now what they were talking about, kind of, but back then I was thinking of food and I found it all very confusing.

Well, I have a new icon. Yes, it was drawn by myself and I'm very proud that it turned out so well. ^^

I just love using this cartoon style, I've realized. It's just so...me.

If any one who reads this wants a cartoon version of themselves like this, just give me a shout out in comments. I'm in a drawing mode.
